Numbers/Statistics and
Overall Development
Today we like to offer some news about The Offering Bowl project in two parts.
One is related to Numbers/Statistics the other one to the Overall Development/Progress.
Numbers/Statistics
We like to share some numbers with you as an interim report-
The final version with all details of exact donation and expenses amounts and so forth
will be presented at the beginning of the new year 2012.
The following numbers are for 10 months from Dec.23.2010 to October 23.2011
Petitioners:
From January until now the Offering Bowl had 30 petitioners asking for support.
Four of them had to cancel for various reasons, eight got funded 100%,
seven got funded between 62% - 98%, six have not reported of exact amount of funding yet,
and six are currently active and looking for support.
Donations:
All together around 150 donors donated $26.000 in amounts from $5.- up to $3,000.-
Website:
Had visitors from 56 countries – 743 cities
Blog had visitors 26 countries – 50 cities
Overall Development/Progress
All in all we are very happy how The Offering Bowl project has developed
since its “birthday” in December 2010.
So we decided to go to the next step and work on phase 2 –
meaning improving various aspects like marketing and promotion,
administration, financial handling, status of the project-
just to mention the major subjects.
A big one is marketing and promoting the site – we already took one step
in this direction in starting to monetize the site - see our news article.
Further strategies will be developed once the founder has attended the
Internet marketing conference next week.
With the knowledge of the latest internet marketing information we will take more action.
The administration will look for more specific help in the field of writing articles
and web support.
The financial handling of the project needs to be overhauled in order to lower costs
for petitioner - meaning less time consuming money transfers, no unnecessary
currency exchanges and less account handling fees.
We will investigate more possibilities to be able to get a status in Canada
to give out tax deductible donation receipts for donors.
This is the latest news so far. We are pretty excited about the progress and
are looking forward to the further development of the above mentioned projects.
