Counting up other donations I've received separately I see that I've reached my goal ! This has been an amazing experience and I'm so grateful to you for creating this venue for all of us struggling with unemployment, underemployment, etc.
I am terrible at fundraising—at least for myself. I just wait to see if anyone chooses to help out if they see the Offering Bowl site for whatever reason. I guess that the site just has to be seen by as many people as possible, but I don’t like sending it out to people I know. I just rely on the exposure that the site receives by others.

I have 346 canadian dollars from yesterday to now!
Wonderful news: someone emailed to ask me how much more I needed to make my goal, and then mailed a check for that amount to my U.S. bank account! So I'm no longer a petitioner—at least, this year. Thank you so much for making this happen. I wouldn't have been able to attend Scorpion Seal Assembly 2 without The Offering Bowl. Now I'll be going to Dechen Choling in November.
The whole thing will start up again next year, of course, when I must attend SSA 3. Do you have a policy regarding repeat petitioners? May I petition again once I find out what it'll take to get to my 2012 program?
Meanwhile, I'm encouraging a couple of people here in South Africa to become petitioners. It's really a wonderful way to take the edge off the extraordinary expense of getting from here to anywhere programs are being offered.
Thank you once again for all you're doing for the Dharma. My words are empty, but my heart is full.
